What up does?!
Ok update on my town Plymouth! haha I'm trying to be a Detroiter but it's not working out very well haha. Anyway Plymouth is the best! it's so fun here, we found out that every Friday night they have concerts in the park and there's like a million people there all the time, they also have weddings there all the time, it's like missionary heaven! You get to contact so many people, I'm a pro. haha and it sounds like I'm humble about it too haha. Sister Fillmore is amazing! We're pretty much the same person and we laugh at EVERYTHING! Yeah, this transfer is going to be so boss!!
anyway on Tuesday we helped this lady Sis. Christiansen, she's the only one in that family that's not a member and her husband and daughters thought it would be a good idea if we spent some time with her so we could gain that trust and she might want to take lessons. Anyway she's this cute Italian lady and we helped her can tomatoes! I've never done that before but she taught us how and it was super fun, I also tried the tomato juice that they make and it was amazing! We ate lunch with her and she wants us to come back on Wednesday to help her with her garden. She really opened up to us and so maybe she'll become a new investigator, fingers crossed!!
Ryan...A lot happened with him and it's crazy! So he's been having a rough couple of weeks but he's super awesome and you can tell he wants this so bad. Anyway so we knew he was having a hard time and we went to see him Monday but he said it wasn't a good time. We asked him if he was okay and he said yeah but you could tell he definitely was not. We asked if we could help in anyway and he said no but he wanted to see us the next day. We were leaving and his neighbor that lived next to his apartment, all he did was look at us and Ryan just blew up! He was swearing all over the place and was like "Don't you dare touch these girls or I'll kill you!" It was so scary because he has never blown up like that before and before when he would swear he would apologize to us but this time he didn't care. It was crazy! especially because the neighbor didn't do anything except look at us. We left really fast and didn't see him again. He kind of disappeared and we were really worried about him. We layed off for a while, we wanted to see if he would show up to church by himself and he did! He was there for sacrament which was awesome! So he's not on date anymore obviously but we're seeing him tomorrow and get him back on track. Ugh stupid Satan...Ryan said he was going to punch satan in the face haha I love this kid!
We also had exchanges on Saturday and it was so fun. I got to see Sister Mickelsen and we talked for a long time, just catching up. We had a lesson with a less active member and after we got back in the car she was like "You did so good!" It was awesome and we talked forever and I told her about how much I've changed in a short time. I told her that this last week I have really started to know how much the power of the Atonement has in my life. I really have been living the Atonement for the past couple weeks and I've watched myself grow and become such a better person because of the love I have felt from God. Guess what guys? I made Sister Mickelsen cry!! We talked and cried for a long time haha it was an amazing experience for both of us, we felt the spirit so strong. Ugh I love sister Mickelsen so much!!
new updates from the Armstrong family:
Brian (sis A's son) "Grandma do you need a hug?"
Sally: "No." Brian gives her a hug anyway. Sally: "I said No!!" she says wiping her cheek that he just kissed. Sally: "Eww kiss them." she said pointing to us.
Brian: "I'm not allowed to kiss them."
"Why? They won't let you either?" haha.
Sis A: "The rooster kept chasing us, we had to stone him a little."
Brian: "Say I love you Brian."
Sally: "No"
Brian: "Say I love you Brian"
Sally: "I would love for you to go away Brian."
Brian: "Say I love you Brian"
Sally: "It's hard."
haha I freaking love this family with my whole heart! Anyway I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ has the power to change people's lives. It's changed mine. It's powerful and I know that Christ is our savior and that he loves us. I am a true representative of him and I am bringing God's children/my brothers and sisters unto him. He lives and he is aware of us all. I love you guys!
