Hey Fam and Friends you guys are boss!
so sorry I'm writing on a Tuesday, since it was a holiday everything was closed haha. Anyway we had a stake picnic yesterday and guess what? Riverview is in my stake! I saw all of my old ward and it was great! Sister Haws and Sister Gervacio were also there and we spent the entire day with them. We played softball and it was great!
We had zone conference last week and it was really good, President Gerber talked about the prayer of faith and it was soooo good. We talked a lot about asking God specifically for help and doing mini sermons in a minute and it was a lot of fun. The zone leaders gave the instruction on the mini sermon and they were so funny. They talked about how in each of our areas there's always that one random person you see everywhere but you never talk to them. it's so true! They talked about observing them and going off of the stuff you know about them because you see them everywhere...kind of like a stalker haha. it was the best!
Oh my gosh Ryan Petty is pretty much the best person ever! So we've been trying to get a hold of him forever and we have pretty much stalked him haha. He kept dropping our appointments though and we were getting really frustrated but we decided to leave it in his hands so we left a note on his car telling him to call us when he has time. We didn't hear from him for a while and then one random day we were tracting we were trying to decide where to go next and Ryan texted us and said he wanted us to come over. We practically ran there right? and we got there and we reviewed the restoration. He remembered a lot but he wouldn't pray out loud with us, he wouldn't even say a kneeling prayer on his own. We came over the next day and taught him the Book of Mormon and it was the best lesson ever! We read the chapter that had the signs of Christ's birth and the spirit was super strong, after the lesson we asked him to pray AND HE DID! Ahhh it took everything in us not to scream. It was pretty much the best prayer I've ever heard in my life! We also set him back on date for the13th! Whoooo! I am like in love with this kid so much! ahh he's the best!
We also helped Sister Christiansen again and it was so much fun. She is the cutest lady ever! I think the Italian accent just makes me love her even more haha. She fed us lunch but she burnt it because it was in the oven and she forgot about it haha. It was still good, we still ate it but the cheese on top was black and was kind of chewy like gum haha. It was funny. Hopefully we'll be able to see her again this week.
We also were able to help with scouts. They were doing a bike course and so us and the elders were helping out with that, it was so fun, they're so cute! I have pics to come!
updates for the Armstrong family! Brian has been less active ever since like ever but we saw them Wednesday and he said he would take the lessons again! Some day we're getting that family to church.
Sally: "Brian get me a drink." Brian: "Okay grandma." Sally: "He's my slave!"
B: "Say I love you Brian." S: "I don't do what I'm told, that's your job."
B: "I love you grandma." S: "That's good. I love you too but shhh! it's our secret!"
S: "Barbra why aren't you wearing shoes?"
Sis. A: "I'm a hillbilly."
I LOVE THIS FAMILY! Anyway I love you all and the gospel is so true!
