Hey guys!! So big news Ryan Petty is now a member of the church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints!! That's right the interview with President went great! He said Ryan is ready. He was baptized on Saturday and you should have seen the smile he had on. Sister Fillmore and I sang "Savior, Redeemer of my soul" and it was terrifying but really fun, Ryan loved it. He was so happy about everything! You could see the difference, he glows ALL THE TIME NOW. We were talking with him after and he said that the last breath of the old self and the first breath of the new self was so different, he said he felt so happy. Ahh I love that kid so much! So he got confirmed on Sunday right? I was sitting behind him in sacrament meeting he loved every second. He got a tablet for like a dollar, which he's super happy about, and he has stigmatisms in both of his eyes so it's hard for him to read. But he uses the tablet and so he can enlarge the print and he found out that it can read to him and he was so excited haha. Anyway so I was sitting behind him and the opening hymn started and he turns and looks at me and holds up his tablet and he found out that he had the hymns on it too, he had the biggest grin on his face ever haha it was hilarious. Anyway it was really cool because his grandparents came, they aren't members but the Sisters in Northville tracted into them and so they're trying to work with them. Isn't that awesome! soon the whole family will be baptized haha, Ryan has been such a good influence to them. He was downloading everything from the gospel library on his tablet and he said he wants to be involved with the church as much as he can. Why did I ever doubt this kid? He's on a roll and I just love the heck out of him, We're seeing him almost everyday this week haha. He said he needed his missionaries haha. I'll send pictures as soon as I can. Also Sister Fillmore is going home at the end of the transfer and both of us are so sad. It's funny though because she doesn't want to talk about it but EVERYONE talks about it haha. Everybody keeps reminding her she only has a week left and she gets so mad haha, even Sister Gerber asked if she was packed yet. Haha she's like "No! I'm still here for a week!" haha The Elders in our ward tease her all the time it's pretty funny. So Sister Fillmore and I have been spending WAY too much time together haha. We say the same things all the time and we're starting to act the same. Like when we mowed the Armstrong's lawn we went to go put the lawnmower back in the garage and the light came on when we walked in because it's motion censored and both of us said "whoo!" at the same time in the same tone of voice. Haha we were laughing so hard and Sister Filly was like "who says whoo?" and I was like "Nobody says whoo!" haha and Brian was laughing too, it was the best thing ever! and to top it off on Sunday we went to coorilation meeting before church and when we got out of the car I realized that we matched, we were wearing the same colors, we laughed but wait it gets better...We walked into the meeting and the Elders were there and were also wearing the same colors as us haha. We all burst out laughing. Elder Warner was like "Inspired changing? I think so." haha so all day at church people were laughing because we were all wearing the same colors, we had to take a picture of it and it's pretty much the best thing of my life. We also saw Jerry again:) He is still cute as ever and came to Ryan's baptism and he really liked it. The Elders are teaching an old guy too, Melvin and we were talking and we were like they would be best friends so we've been trying to get them to meet but never have been able too. Then at church both of them came and so we introduced them and they hit it off! We also had an old guy in our ward Bro. Jacobson meet them as well. Now their a 3 some! And let me tell you, the most adorable 3 some in the world haha. They were totally friends in the pre-Earth life:) Also we see Marigold, this less active/recent convert who's pregnant. Yeah, she found out she was pregnant like a couple months after she was baptized. it's been crazy, anyway we see her like once a week and she's doing good but she has this juicer thing that she's a little obsessed with. She juices everything! And she always makes it when we get there so we have to drink it. Lets just say that carrots and apples do NOT go together and SHOULD NOT go together ever! ugh...it's nasty but you can't drink it super fast, first of all because it makes you gag and second of all because if she sees you're done, she'll refill it until it's gone. So you just smile and drink and pray that it wont kill you, oh the things we do as missionaries haha. I love her though and she's slowly coming back to church so that's good. Anyway as you can see I have the best times as a missionary haha. Seriously best job ever! I hope you have an incredible week and see the miracles that Heavenly Father provides because we don't realize how many there really are. The gospel changes people's lives and I've seen that time and time again. I love you all and the gospel is sooo true, would Ryan be baptized if it wasn't? Heck no! Sister Gordon
