Hey ya'll!
Okay so big news first, I'm getting transferred. I'm sad, Plymouth is the best, but I know I'm needed somewhere else. I'll let you know where I'm at next week. We also had interviews on Halloween, it was really good. President Gerber's boss! We also watched Meet the Mormons and oh my goodness it was great! My favorite? it's really hard but I'm a little biased and liked the missionary one haha. Candy bombers also super sweet! I don't know if you know this but Mormons are pretty much the best haha.
Anyway this week has been super weird, it's been both long and fast. I'm leaving Plymouth, sister Taylor's going home and Sister Kunzler is staying here. She's taking over the area, ya'll better look out, Plymouth is about the be on fire! She's going to baptized the whole city I know it, she's just awesome like that. It's very bittersweet for me because all of us have gotten super close this transfer, I love them! We're planning a road trip haha.
So Jerry...Oh my goodness the man is going to kill me. We never know what to do with him because sometimes he's completely there and the lesson's great and other times he's on a completely different planet. So we decided that we're going to stop by occasionally still and read from the scriptures or something but he's not going to be a priority. I honestly don't think he's very accountable, his health is declining fairly quickly but who knows.
We also taught this awesome guy on Saturday. So we were on exchanges and the sister training leaders were with Sister Taylor and so it was just me and Sister Kunzler. So we were trying to figure out what to do and it was getting pretty dark so we couldn't tract. Well had to get gas anyway so we went to the nearest gas station we could find and we went in and it was just us and the guy that worked there. He's seen us before so we said hi and asked how he was and were talking for a bit when he said "So what kind of work do you guys do? I see your nametags." We told him we were missionaries and he asked "What makes you different from other religions?" Okay for a missionary that's the best question anybody could ever ask haha. We were like well let us tell you. So we ran out to our car and got a Restoration pamphlet and came back and started teaching him. People would come in occasionally and we would step to the side and stop talking but he was like "it's okay keep talking." so we would teach him on the side while he worked haha. We went through the pamphlet briefly and spent a lot of time on Joseph Smith, we asked if he would take the pamphlet and pray about it to see if it's true and he said yes. It was the best! His name is Sam and he's like in his 20's he's super awesome and totally going to become a new investigator. It was the best missionary opportunity ever!
We also saw Brian again one last time. he was sad that I was leaving but he said God would put me where he needed me the most. He's the best person ever, but you already know that haha. He's going to be reactivated soon I can feel it, I swear that will be the best day of my life haha. Sister Armstrong is getting better too, that family will be super strong members for sure. We had ward council yesterday and we talked about the Armstrongs, the ward is going to focus on them and i'm super excited. Ahhh I love them!
Also yesterday was fast Sunday right? So we were sitting in the back and Azure and Celeste Christensen were sitting in front of us. They're 14 and they're twins, haha I love them. Well I told them that I was leaving and they were like "Noooo!" haha. So when testimony meeting started they both turned around and told me I should bare my testimony since it was my last Sunday. I was like no way! Sister Taylor went up first and bore hers and then Azure goes up and says "Not only is it Sister Taylor's last Sunday but it's also Sister Gordon's." She ratted me out! haha. She bore her testimony and said how me and sister Fillmore where the first sister missionaries she's had and she said that I was the one who influenced her and made her want to serve a mission. WHAT?! I had no idea, but when she was done of course I had to get up, so I bore my testimony too. It was super awesome. Then we also taught the lesson in gospel principles class, it was on honesty. A couple minutes after we started the class President and Sister Gerber walked in and joined the class, and President Medley (stake president) was there too, yeah not intimidating at all! haha but it turned out good.
Anyway I hope you all have an amazing week, I love you and I know that the gospel is true! Heavenly Father is there and is aware of our situations, "Look unto me in every thought, doubt not, fear not." D&C 6:36. love you!
