What up people? Hope everything is going well over there, some pretty awesome things happened this week. It's slowly warming up and we had exchanges on Tuesday, our sister training leaders came up and Sister Mickelsen and I split because we had a lot of appointments on that day. That day we were able to teach 12 lessons total and got 7 new investigators how awesome is that?! We saw so many people and it was crazy how many miracles we were able to see in that one day. We were able to see Prel again and he is the most intense 15 year old I've ever met in my life, he's super smart. Sister Rikard and I started teaching him about the Restoration and I asked him What his definition of a perfect parent would be. He said he didn't know and I asked him what he meant and he opened up and started going off about how he doesn't have parents. His parents didn't want him so they put him in foster home and he's been in three different places going from foster home to foster home. He's been in Albania, Poland, and now here. He said he didn't think of a perfect parent because he doesn't have one. He's been through a lot of trials in his life and so hopefully we'll be able to help him. So apparently when you become a missionary everybody all of a sudden thinks you're cute haha. I can't tell you how many times Sister Mickelsen and I have been hit on by lonely single black men haha. They've all asked us on a date at least once it's hilarious. The ward council laughs because we are teaching all the men over here and the Elders in the south area are teaching all the women. We're also teaching this family one by one. Roy, Edrice (but we call him Eddie), and PJ. We just found out that all of them are related and we had no idea. The mom of that family lives in one house and they all come to visit so lately we've just been going over there and teaching whoever is visiting at the time haha. We got PJ on a baptism date on May 31st so keep him in your prayers! They have a cousin named DJ who's 5 and he's the cutest little gangster I've ever seen in my life. The very first time we met him he said "How ya'll doin, my names DJ, don't wear it out." haha and he asked for our number and everything he's soooo cute!! I think he may be my favorite person ever! Wednesday it rained. Sister Mickelsen told me that it pours here and I've never been able to see it but finally it rained. It was the coolest thing ever! The thunder was so loud and we stood on our deck and we were soaked in like 2 seconds, there's pictures that I'm going to send at the end. I love the rain over here it was the best! We also started teaching this guy named Reggie and he doesn't really have a high education level. We taught the Restoration but you have to explain it in the simplest form and he has never prayed before so when we asked him to pray he had no clue what that even was. We had to explain it and I had to kneel by him and pray and he would repeat the words that I said. It was a really cool experience and I know it's going to be a long process but we were definitely led to him for a reason. We also had a meeting yesterday after church and now our ward is combined with the Warren ward. It was a really good thing because our ward is just not big enough at all, we didn't even have enough people to fill all our presidencies, we had to have service missionaries come to fill them. Now we're combined so it's definitely going to be a lot better. We now have 6 sets of missionaries in the ward though haha so look out because this ward is about to triple in size haha. Anyway I love you guys so much and I hope you have an amazing week and enjoy Mother's Day! Still totally excited for Elder Holland incase you didn't already know haha. Love you and the gospels' true! Sister Gordon
