Hey my favorite people! Alright so transfer calls happened last night it was so funny! so Elder Plant (our district leader, he's going home tomorrow) calls us to tell us if we're staying or leaving right? Well us and the Livonia Sisters were sitting around the couch listening to him, wondering who's staying or leaving. So he starts with Livonia, Sis. Cash is going home tomorrow too so Sis. Cardenas is obviously staying and she's going to become a Sister Trainer Leader, which is awesome. Then he says "Alright now for Northville Sisters...your area is getting closed." We all gasp! he says "So you both need to pack your stuff and the office assistants will call you tomorrow and come get your beds and desks and stuff." so we start freaking out and nobody says anything and Elder Plant is like "Are you guys still there?" Sis. Price says "yeah we're just freaking out a little." and he goes "Well you don't have to freak out because I'm kidding. You're both staying." haha we scream haha we totally fell for it and I was like "I hate you so much!" and he goes "Is that Sister Gordon?" I say yes and he goes. "#1. That's rude, #2. Respect your Elders, #3. you're supposed to love people as Christ loves them ok. Keep that up and I will shave off all your hair." haha we all start laughing our heads off haha it was great! Threatened by my district leader, pretty awesome. So I'm so excited for Christmas, we have a Christmas Eve party with all the missionaries and Sis. Price and I are going to sing with a couple other missionaries for the talent show, it'll be awesome! I don't know what time yet I'll call but let me know if you have Skype or not:) Anyway so we are taught Bro. Choi Saturday, his wife is back in Korea taking care of her mom right now but we still taught him. He's progressing really well we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and invited him to be baptized and he said he would! He wants to wait for his wife to come back before he picks a date because he wants to get baptized together but he wants to! I'm so excited for him it'll be great! We also taught Alliy again today and oh my goodness I love that man so much! He's from Iraq and we gave him an Arabic book of Mormon to read last time and when we saw him today he's already in Alma chapter 7! Whaat?? I know we were freaking out too, he's so adorable and we taught him how to pray again and how to recognize answers. He's progressing so much and he loves everything we teach him. Also we taught Janet and Terry (Ryan's grandparents) We taught them about the plan of Salvation and they loved it! They kept saying over and over again how much it made sense. I love when that happens haha. Also Ryan is doing good down in Tennessee, he got a job and seems to be liking it and he's hopefully going to try and come back here for Christmas., depending on how his job goes. But Janet told us that a lot of the things we taught her, Ryan would teach them a lot of what we taught him. Apparently after he was baptized he started teaching them everything haha, then it gets even better because he told Janet that he was going to try and bring his mom to church with him sometime haha is he not the best member missionary ever?! Ugh he's the best! And his grandparents are so going to be baptized and then they're going to be sealed in the temple for sure, I've already daydreamed about it so it has to happen now. Also we've been contacting down by a strip mall thing that we have in our area and we went there one day and talked to the bell ringer. haha his name is Shaun, he's so cool and a total Detroiter. We started teaching him about the Restoration and he was like "Wow...Ya'll are awesome! I can just tell by your aura that ya'll are gonna be someone someday, ya'll are about to change lives." haha he's awesome, he doesn't live in our area though but we have his phone number so we are going to try and see if we can refer him to the missionaries in his area. He's so cool he wanted to come to church and said he would bring all his cousins haha, we'll see what happens I guess. We talked to him for a while and I asked what it would mean for him to know that there was a prophet on the Earth again and he was like "Well that's something that we need, especially in the world right now." and I said well there is one and started talking about Thomas S. Monson and testifying and stuff and he was like "Dude I'm about to look this guy up!" haha it was awesome! Hopefully we'll get to see him again. Well that's mostly it, but I hope you have a wonderful week and remember to share the 'He is the Gift' video with EVERYONE! I love ya'll so much and the gospel is true! Keep it real! haha ok I'm spending too much time with Detroiters, but it's the best! Peace out! Sister Gordon
