What up doe?! Ok so yeah Grand Blanc is a boss area! It's huge because there's no Elders here so we cover the entire thing but it's super fun, its' freezing, but its' fun haha. As we speak it's 1 degree...I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be possible haha. I'm staying warm though so that's good haha one night our heater broke so we called one of the members and they brought over like 3 bags of blankets and a little space heater haha it was great! we got the heater working now so that's good. I also met Denise's companion sister Litchtenburg on Sunday haha what a small world. She heard I was from North Ogden and she was like "Oh, one of my comps live there, you probably don't know her though." I asked what her name was and she said Denise Norris and I was like "Oh my gosh of course I know her! I'm related to her!" haha it was so funny. I will totally be here in April! So hopefully I'll get to see her haha. so this week was good, we were tracting and nobody wanted to talk to us, sister Reeves was like "Let's do one more house, I know there's someone here." So we knock on this house and this guy answers and we say who we are and ask him a couple of questions and start going into prophets. We testify that there's a living prophet and stuff and he was like "oh yeah, I could totally believe that. It makes a lot of sense that there would be another prophet." We were like wow ok haha that never happens, We got his phone number so hopefully we'll be able to talk to him again. We also had Specialized training which was awesome, the assistants talked about how to use time effectively and about the Book of Mormon, I got some pretty sick revelation haha. We also got these awesome new pass along cards with the Detroit temple on them, they're the coolest things ever! I can't wait to start using them, we start those Feb. 28th whoot whoot! Sister Haws is in my zone again haha I'm super excited! I love that girl! She goes home this next transfer, its' so crazy. We have this investigator, he's so cool. He's an older guy in like his 50's and he takes care of his mom. He's a boss though, he comes to church and everything, the missionaries have been teaching him for a while now but he's on the right track. The only thing that's holding him back right now is smoking but I totally believe in him! He's got this and is totally getting baptized, we're almost done with all the lessons. Pray for him! My favorite story, we have this less active. She is struggling hard core right now. she's in a bad situation, she lives with her boyfriend who is not a member and I'm pretty sure he's abusive, she has depression and is addicted to pretty much everything. She wants to go to rehab but is afraid to. The first day I met her, within two seconds she just brakes down. She says how she just feels stuck and that God isn't there, she felt so bad and told us that she almost tried to kill herself before we came. She grabbed our hands and was shaking and my heart just broke for her. I felt impressed that I needed to tell her the things I was struggling with, I told her about my depression and anxiety and other things that happened and testified to her that God was there and that everything was going to be ok. She is a lot like me on the depression side, but I could tell she felt the spirit as I talked, we calmed her down a little and left. After that I can't tell you how hard I prayed for her and I fasted for her yesterday and I remember praying and telling God if she was anything like me, she'll find her way back to the gospel just like I did. I knew she could do it, we saw her again last night and she was so much happier. she said that she was reading the scriptures and she quit her job, which was good because that didn't help with her addiction, and you could tell in her face she felt a lot better. We were able to take a member with us, and we read the Book of Mormon with her and her boyfriend, she prayed at the end and it was amazing! She asked God to help her get her life together and after she invited her boyfriend to come to church with her next week and he said yes! My heart is so full of love for her, I know without a doubt that she's definitely one reason I'm here in Grand Blanc. Heavenly Father has told me that I'm here to help her, I know she is going to come back to the gospel and she'll be ok. She wants to get help and change her life around I love her so much! I know that the gospel is so true and I love all of you! have an amazing week! Sister Gordon
