Hello family!!!! So this week has been kind of rough. All of our investigators except for one either dropped us or have terrible things happen to them all in one week! The lady I told you about last week, Andrea texted us and told us she found out that we were Mormon and that it wasn't for her, another investigator Shaun told us he separated from his wife and is moving somewhere and lost his phone so we have no way to contact him, Genna is still kind of uncomfortable with us so we are kind of laying off her for a while, Glenn, who is a less active, wanted to come back and go on a mission is having problems with temptation, he spent a weekend with a girl and is hanging out with not good friends, another less active broke his hip and now has to get surgery, our investigator Aliece told us that her mom wants her to come back to her church. What is happening with the world! I swear every time they come on the right path Satan is right there to mess them up again. Its been a really strange week but the quote that I've made up is "When faced with trials sing onward ever onward and keep going. I've had eternity to prepare for this mission and eternity to remember it, but I only have 18 months to live it." Sister Mickelsen and I said that yes, it does break our hearts when our people drop us but we did everything we could. We followed the spirit and worked diligently and did exactly what Heavenly Father wanted us to do and that's all that matters. Heavenly Father doesn't care about numbers, all he cares about is how hard you work and how obedient you are to the spirit. We went out on Saturday and yesterday tracting and we found some really awesome people that have to potential to progress. All we're going to do is put our trust in God and he will do whatever is in the plan for us. The only investigator we're working with is a lady named Karen, She is engaged to a guy named Lenny who is on a business trip and loves what we've said so far. She told us that she had been praying to know which church to join and we happened to knock on her door that day. She started crying and you could tell that she felt the spirit. We taught her the Restoration and she seemed to really enjoy it so we'll see how that works out. Keep her in your prayers! Also we had our New missionary Training meeting at President Gerber's house. The Sisters that came out here with me came to that meeting, I've missed them so much! It was great to see how much all of us have progressed. We had an amazing lesson by President Gerber about trusting in the Lord and not doubting yourself. It was so good and remember how I said that President Gerber could be an apostle, yeah I wasn't joking haha. I also got to see the general women's conference, it was sooooo good, I hope all you girls got to watch it, if not I strongly suggest you look it up. It was all about keeping covenants with God, super good! Well family I love you a lot and I've noticed a lot of people remind me of all you guys, maybe it's homesickness I don't know but know that I think about you guys all the time. The gospel is soooooo true, can you believe I've been here for over a month now??? How crazy is that! time is flying by. Love you all! Sister Gordon PS Just thought you'd like to know yesterday was actually sunny and no jacket weather hooray!!!
