Hey hey everybody!
Alright isn't conference the best thing ever? Heck yeah it is! I love knowing that we have a living prophet on the earth today. It's definitely something we used to our advantage when we talked to people. Everyone we talked to we said. "We believe that the same church Jesus Christ organized when he was on the earth has been restored to the earth by a prophet and we are blessed to have a prophet on the earth today and we have the chance to hear him and the apostles." it was pretty fun, we had a lot of people say they would watch it, who knows if they actually did or not, but still it was awesome!
So what talk was all of your favorites? I want to know! It's definitely hard to pick only one but some of my favorites where Elder Ballard's talk and Lynn G. Robbins. I loved hearing about the people who fell off the boat and we as members need to pull them back to safety. I think I loved it so much because I'm a missionary haha but I loved Robbins talk about which way do you face? it was all so good! I love the gospel!!
I also love being in a trio! oh my gosh it's like a total party haha. We have so much fun! Sister Taylor and Kunzler are awesome, we get along super well, and here I was all nervous for nothing haha. I might have already told you this but I can't remember so I'm going to tell you again, Sister Taylor is from Ogden and Sister Kunzler is from Sandy Ut. We're planning on having a couple parties when we all go home. We're having a fiesta, we're going to snowbird, having a scary movie/Disney movie night. Seriously how awesome is that? Sister Kunzler is probably the most funniest person ever, she has the most random yet amazing comments ever. Here's a couple:
"Man...I love cilantro." "I promise I wont delete it, if I do I owe you a baby." "Buts are ugly!" haha she's the best.
So we watched conference at several different places, it was crazy! The first session we watched it at the church with all the Elders, second session we went to the Gardner's (the bishop) house and they have this fun tradition where every apostle or prophet speaks they have different snacks for each one haha it was really fun. The 3rd session we went to the Budges house with Jerry, he really enjoyed it which was good. Then the 4th session we went to the Christensen's home, their awesome! It was a crazy two days haha but super fun.
So Jerry's date for the 11th is kind of on hold right now. he's still smoking and drinking coffee, we're trying to help him as best we can but it's his choice I guess. It's frustrating though because he wonders why he's having trouble breathing and we're like well gee it might be because you're smoking! haha he's still super awesome though, he's the cutest, he just needs help. Keep him in your prayers!
Ryan's not home from Tennessee yet but hopefully he's doing good, he said he was going to try and watch conference so hopefully he did. I love that kid to death, which is why I want him to come back haha it's weird not having daily contact with him haha I'm starting to be a worried parent, it's not okay, i'm too young for that haha.
We also saw Sally...she's so little and weak, she definitely doesn't have much time left. We saw her on her birthday and sang like 10 songs for her, Brian and sister Armstrong were really touched by it, just please remember to keep that family in your prayers as well. Brian's so sad it's heartbreaking, but it makes him feel better when he meets with us and stuff so that's good.
Also I love my district oh my gosh! They're all so funny I love them! so my shoulder has been really hurting for the past couple days and it keeps locking up, I talked to Sister Gerber about it though and the mission doctor and he gave me exercises to do and some pills to take and that's been helping but I was telling the people in my district about my shoulder and this is the conversation:
Elder Fox: "You should get it checked out."
Me: "I don't want to..."
Elder Iverson: "What does the spirit tell you to do?"
Elder Tuttle: "Read Helaman 12."
Elder Fox: "Yeah we were JUST talking about pride Sister Gordon."
Hahaha so funny! That's usually how our district meetings go haha.
Anyway I know that this gospel is true and I know that because of our modern day prophet! I hope you all have the best week ever! love you and the gospel is true!!
Sister Kellee Gordon
