Hey everyone! First of all Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister Jaimee Gordon! Love ya sis hope it was great! so this week was great! We had a district activity on Monday haha it was great, we brought a bunch of board games and stuff to play at the church. One of the members let us borrow marshmellow guns so we went there early and waited for the Elders. We hid in different rooms and when they got there we attacked! It was great fun haha. We spent a long time having a marshmellow war, so much fun! Then we played this weird card game, it's like a super hero card game and it was so confusing, at least for me haha. Elders are such nerds haha, but everyone still doesn't believe i'm Superman, what is wrong with them? Anyway we are still teaching the cute Spanish family, they're adorable! the mom got in a car accident and now she's in a neck brace and in a lot of pain and stuff so we asked her if she wanted a blessing and she said yes, so we got a member who speaks Spanish and one of the Elders that speaks Spanish and they gave it to her and oh man the spirit was so strong! I had no idea what they were saying but I felt the spirit haha. I also realized I understand Spanish a lot more than I thought I did which is cool haha, it runs in my blood I guess haha. But they're so amazing and their oldest son, who's like 14, is so prepared it's insane! Ahhh that whole family is going to get baptized and sealed in the temple and all the son's are going to go on missions and it's just going to be great! That's my prophesy right there haha. We're also teaching this guy who's crazy prepared. We met him contacting in a store and starting talking to him, we basically taught him the whole restoration right there and out of nowhere Sister Fe'ao busts out a baptism invitation and HE SAYS YES! Whaaaat? We were all totally shocked and so yeah we've been teaching him pretty much everyday since then on the phone because he works a lot, and he's just so cool! He said his very first prayer out loud with us over the phone and ahhh I love him! He's golden! Another thing that happened is one of our investigators came to church and loved it! She brought her 11 yr. old son and they both really enjoyed it. There was an amazing talk in sacrament on the plan of salvation, and she related it to a play. She said that God is the author, Jesus Christ is the director, we're the main cast, our family and friends are the crew, Prophets and Apostles are assistant directors and the Holy Ghost is the stage manager. How freaking amazing is that! it was such a good talk, everyone in the ward wanted a copy of it, ahhh so good. Anyway yeah Farmington Hills is full of miracles I love it so much! I love being a missionary and I love the knowledge of the gospel and the opportunity to share that with others. I love you all so much as well and the gospel in case you didn't already know is so so true! love ya! have a wonderful week! Sister Gordon P.S. I totally forgot to mention the best part haha. Elder Oaks came on Friday! it was so awesome! He's absolutely hilarious and super smart! He talked a lot about the importance of prayer and how we need to know if our investigators are really knowing how to pray and with a sincere heart. Because that's where everything starts, that's how they're going to get converted and get answers. He said "God will not answer academic questions." They need to be sincere, really wanting to know if what we share is true, if it's just to gain knowledge, God's not going to give them the answers they need. Praying sincerely means to be completely willing to act on whatever answer they get. So we've really been trying to focus on that. It's super awesome haha. Anyway sorry I forgot that haha totally scatter brained.
