Hey Y'all!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I can't believe I'm 20 today ahhh! I'm so old right now it's gross haha it's even weirder that I have almost been out for a year now? What the heck happened? So weird and fast haha.
Ok so crazy thing happened. Saturday we get a call from President Gerber saying both me and Sister Price are leaving and getting emergency transferred. I don't know what happened but anyway he told us our area was being closed and the Elders are taking over and to start packing. Yeah we freaked out! It was insane so we packed all day and didn't end up leaving until early Sunday morning. So now I'm in Farmington Hills with Sister Green and Sister Fe'ao, they're both really awesome and such AMAZING missionaries. Sister Green is from Florida and has been out for almost 8 months now and Sister Fe'ao lives near Salt Lake and has been out for 3 1/2 months. We had a lot of fun yesterday, they're practically perfect in every way haha. I'm super excited to serve with them. I'll send you my address and stuff at the end and I'll get the birthday package eventually haha.
So it was really sad to say goodbye to all the people in Northville, Alliy, Bro. Choi, Marilyn, Chloe, Ryan's grandparents and all the other people I love it was super hard. but I got pictures and some of their emails so I can stay in contact. Farmington is a pretty cool area there's a lot of nice people here. I went to church and bore my testimony, yeah that's something I never do but the spirit told me to so I had to listen haha. It was a really cool experience, then we went tracting and oh my goodness Sister Green and Sister Fe'ao are freaking bosses at that! We found so many awesome people and got to teach a lot of lessons. We met this awesome girl Mia and taught her pretty much the whole Restoration and it was awesome!
Today we're partyin! I get to pick a place to eat and it'll be really fun! I can't think of a better birthday present than to be a missionary, teaching people about the gospel and how it's blessed me so much in my life. I love everything about being a missionary, even though it's so hard sometimes.
A couple weeks ago I had a cool experience where I was in a situation where I had to sacrifice something that I loved more than anything in the world. It was so hard and I had to choose what to do and so I prayed and I remember telling Heavenly Father that I could not give this thing up, there was no way that I could sacrifice this thing that he wanted me to, after I got done praying I started thinking and a thought popped into my head and it was like God whispered in my ear "Do you think I wanted to sacrifice my son?" It basically hit me in the face and I started thinking that if God could do something that hard because he loved me, I could give up this one little thing because I loved him. Instantly I felt the spirit and it was crazy, i'm grateful that God allows us to go through trials and challenges, not because they're easy or because they're desired but because they help us rely on God and come closer to him and help us love. I know that God has blessed me so much for the sacrifices that I make and he has a perfect plan. He knows what he's doing haha don't question it because I do all the time and I end up getting smacked in the face every time haha. It's a good thing Heavenly Father is perfectly patient haha that's for sure.
I'm so grateful for all of you and your support, have an amazing week! love you all and the gospel's true!
