Yo what up does! Okay haha I have to tell you I'm starting to get the Detroit lingo down haha so fare warned I'm probably going to talk like a gangsta sometimes haha. So first of all transfers happened and I'm staying in Riverview! whoot!! My new companion Sister Haws is a total boss! She's from Farmington Utah and she's been out here for 9 months now and just barely came from Detroit. So my lingo is kind of from her haha she said she's getting me ready so if I get transferred there I'll know how to talk haha. She's also addicted to Dr. Pepper....I think this is going to be a really good transfer haha. So this week has been kind of depressing...Mr. K came back as I said last week and so we went to go see him. We were talking about baptism AGAIN and he is still stuck on the whole one baptism thing, he thinks he was baptized by authority so we tried to explain and you know how stubborn he is so he wouldn't listen. We had had interviews with President Gerber the day before and he said that it was getting time that he should decide whether he's converted to the gospel or the missionaries. So I told him that we would give him some time to pray about the things we taught him and give us a call when he thinks he's ready. He took it the completely wrong way and we tried to explain but he wouldn't listen and he dropped us... We got dumped by Mr. K! He came to church Yesterday and in class he was asking questions that was totally having to do with the lesson we taught, he was trying to prove us wrong in front of the entire class. We were so ticked and we were going around the room introducing ourselves and saying a talent that we feel like Heavenly Father has blessed us with. So it gets to Sister Haws and her being a total boss she says "I'm Sister Haws and I have been given the talent to be brutally honest whether you like it or not." haha and then it gets to me and I say. "I'm Sister Gordon and I have been given the talent to know truth and see people the way God sees them whether they see it or not." He obviously didn't like that very much and after the class he left. But honestly I don't regret anything we said in the lesson or in the class, I believe it was completely spirit driven and I know that Mr. K has been treated lightly ever since the sisters have been teaching him but this transfer Sister Haws and I are taking over and it's time he found the truth for himself. I'm not just going to sit there and let him think his own thing. I know he'll get it one day...but until he prays about it and gets his answer from God there's nothing we can do for him. Also Mark came home from the rehab center early because he wasn't following the program so they kicked him out. We went to their house on the 4th to say hi but he wasn't there, I asked his mom, Gail, where he was and she said she dropped him off at the fireworks with some of his friends... as soon as she said that I knew that was bad.. the only friends he has are his druggie friends. So we were going to see him the next day but apparently he came home really early that morning totally wasted and the cops showed up not too long after and took him away. So yeah he's in jail now... can I just say I hate Satan! ugh I want to punch that dude so hard... he was soo close! But his Dad, Rodger, said that he wants me to write Mark when he gets out so that I can stay in contact with him because he's really attached to me, which I don't mind because I'm really attached to him too haha. Anyway enough of that sad stuff, it's definitely a faith builder for sure. But I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us and we may not understand it now but I know God does. He knows us better than we know ourselves and I know that it will work out for Mr. K and Mark. All we can do for them now is love them and pray for them haha. Oh! I forgot to tell you tonight is going to be our 4th of July party at the Kindey's complete with fireworks oh yeah! The whole district got invited so I'm pretty excited about that. The 4th was a lot different than home, but people get really into it here, we had to go home early though because everyone starts getting drunk at like 8 but it was really fun because we sat on our deck and watched the fireworks while eating frosting, it was an awesome party man! Also, my district leader Elder Humphrys, total boss by the way, we were talking before transfers happened. We were predicting what was going to happen and it's weird because sometimes you can kind of tell whether you're leaving or not, I felt like I was going to stay and that's exactly what happened it was kind of cool. Anyway back to the point of the story, so Elder Humphrys and I were taking bets on what was going to happen and Elder Humphrys was like "Sister Gordon you're totally going to train this transfer." I was like "No way! I can't train yet I'm so not ready yet, i'll probably break whoever I train haha." He laughed but said I was still going to train, so we got to transfers and it turned out that Elder Humphrys was training haha! I was laughing so hard and after the meeting I walked up to him and was like "Dude Backfire!" haha and he was like "Shut up!" haha it was sick! Oh sweet karma haha. Anyways I hope y'all have a amazing week! I love you all so much and the gospels true! Sister Gordon
